This uncertainty will be a cause of concern for the investors.

Post implementation of GST, distribution companies (‘Discoms’) willingness to buy more solar power at higher tariffs will also be affected and could pose another short-term challenge for the sector.”

In a first-of-its-kind solar development initiative, two Andhra Pradesh villages, Toorputallu and Pedhamyanavanilanka will now run completely on solar power, becoming the first two villages in the country to have achieved this feat.
